Madre de Dios

Madre de Dios, meaning “mother of god” is the region in southeastern Peru it is the only region in Peru that borders both Brazil and Bolivia, and is composed of three provinces Manu, Tahuamanu and Tambopata.

Madre de Dios is also the most famous region for the wild, bio diverse, tropical habitats found within her borders.

The region is home to indigenous communities that promote ecotourism, In regions with some of the richest biodiversity of the world, such as Lake Sandoval, Lake Valencia, Manu national Park, Tambopata National reserve and Bahuaja-Sonene National park, the only tropical, humid savannah ecosystem in Peru.

It is the best destiny, for ecology lovers, and to people who look for adventure in paradise places, many green areas, where you can find many animals, that only exist in these jungles as the ‘’lobo de crin’’ and ‘’ciervo de los pantanos’’

Puerto Maldonado is only a transit place to start the entrance through the river, in the Manu National Park or Candamo Tambopata Reserve.
